What do you look for in interns?
We are looking for driven individuals that exhibit communication and time management skills. You should be self-motivated and deal with ambiguity.
How flexible are the hours?
We understand that you will have academic commitments during your semester. Johnson & Johnson provides the flexiblity to help you manage these commitments. You will work with manager to come up with an appopriate solution.
How many interns will you recruit?
We are recruiting interns for 4 specific positions, although more may be added at a later date. Please have a look at the internship positions available.
Will the internships be paid?
The internships will be paid at competitive market rates. Your first 13 weeks at the full-time rate, the remaining time when you are working 2 days a week will be payed pro-rata.
Who should apply for this programme?
The J&J Kickstart Programme is tailored for penultimate-year university students i.e. final year in 2010. We still encourage you to apply if you are not in your penultimate-year of university as we review all applcations.
I'm in my first year at univesity. Can I still apply?
Even though the program is tailored specifically for penultimate year students, we still encourage you to apply.
I'm a Year 12 Student, can I still apply?
The J&J Kickstart Programme is tailored for university students. You can apply when you enter university.
What training will be provided?
When joining Johnson & Johnson you will be provided with Corporate Orientation training.
You will also be provided with Presentation Training Skills as part of your interneship programme.
Where are the internships?
The internships are located at Johnson & Johnson in North Ryde, NSW, Australia.
How long does the internship position last?
The internship position lasts for 12 months - 3 month full-time and 9 month part-time.
Are the interns offered full time positions within Johnson & Johnson after completing the Kickstart programme?
The Kickstart positions are designed as a 12 month internship with 3 months full-time and then 9 months part-time. Toward the end of this period you would have the opportunity to apply for available roles, as is the standard process for all employees.
When will I know if I'm successful?
You will be contacted by Johnson & Johnson or our recruitment partners Hudson.
Will my role rotate across departments?
No, you will be based in one department with one manager for your entire 12 month internship.
Will a professional reference be available at the end of the internship?
Yes, your manager will write you a professional reference at the end of your internship.
